AI Essentials is a beginner-friendly, hands-on workshop designed to help adults understand what AI is and how to start using it immediately in daily life, work, job searches, and small businesses. 

• Participants will learn how to use AI tools like ChatGPT to solve problems, boost productivity, and generate ideas — even with no prior experience.

• By the end of this 3-hour workshop, you will be able to:

  ✔ Explain in simple terms what AI is and how it works in everyday life.
  ✔ Use ChatGPT and other AI tools to support job searching, resumes, communication, or planning.
  ✔ Create effective AI prompts using Context, Task, Format, Personality, Tone, and Exemplars.
  ✔ Use AI to brainstorm business ideas, automate tasks, and “work smarter, not harder”
  ✔ Practice using “Hal-Libs” to build real-world prompts for personal goals.

The Roane County Library Board Meeting will be held at the Kingston Public Library on December 16th at 4:00 PM. This meeting is open to the public.

Please note: The Oliver Springs Public Library will close at 3:00 PM on that day so staff can attend the meeting.
